I stayed at Heevan Villas with my pet, since the hotel is listed as pet-friendly. Unfortunately, the experience with the manager (named Yasir) was extremely disappointing. He insisted that my pet must be tied up inside the room because he might “bite someone,” which made no sense — especially since it was just us inside the room. We travelled in January when the temperatures were below freezing, and the room heater wasn’t even working. My pet was expected to sleep on the cold floor until we requested extra heaters. On top of that, the manager asked my driver to leave the property and did not offer any accommodation for him in such harsh weather. There was absolutely no empathy or basic humanitarian consideration shown. I do want to mention that the restaurant manager and staff were kind, warm, and far more professional — which we really appreciated. We also stayed at Heevan Hotels in Pahalgam and Gulmarg, and those experiences were fantastic — the staff there were genuinely welcoming. However, Heevan Villas was a stark contrast. If you’re travelling with pets or expect basic courtesy and warmth, you may want to think twice before booking here.

We booked the hotel thought it would be equally good like other heevan hotels but it was ok location was not exactly in sonmarg it is separate area peace full place but disappointed with facility as we have three rooms 2 bathroom maintenance was poor one toilet tank was not working and in other shower was not working. Rest food was good in taste but we ask for room service the food served was cold . In winter you know nobody likes it. Rest stay was fine property is good but need to work on mantaince.

This property is really serene, aesthetically constructed with kashmiri artefacts, located on the banks of Sindh river. One can sit, eat, relax, and soak feet in water along the banks..the restaurant dilkhush provides you delicious, sumptuous, flavourful both kashmiri and north Indian food. The preparations are super nice with excellent hospitality by staff members Mr. Nasir, Zamir and other staff members. This property is equipped with badminton lawn, beautiful gardens and indoor games... Thanks for providing us such a memorable experience and wish to visit you soon. And I forgot to mention about the apple and walnut trees inside this property which makes it more beautiful ❤️

I was thoroughly impressed with the food quality and hospitality at Dilkush Restaurant—every meal was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. The service was warm and attentive, making the dining experience truly enjoyable. As for Heevan Villas, the overall ambiance is incredibly warm and welcoming. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home, and the property itself has a serene charm that adds to the comfort. A truly delightful stay I’d highly recommend it!

Great place with great people. People from reception to housekeeping person to waiter, everyone one was so polite and so helpful. The location is better than other hotels. It is situated just at the starting point of Sonmarg tunnel. Great food. We witnessed snowfall from our hotel room. The rooms were spacious and warm. Must stay place in Sonmarg.

Phenomenal peaceful stay nestled in the beauties of Sonamarg, Kashmir. The staff was very friendly and the chef curated some delicious meals for my family and I, from non-veg options to veg options. The rooms are spacious and offer balcony views of the surrounding mountains. Truly a must stop if you’re in the area!
